Ethiopian Airlines also has extra baggage charges for specific items. The excess luggage rate for sporting equipment ranges from $100 to $200 depending on the class and size of the equipment. The excess baggage charge to carry a television ranges from $80 to $200 depending on the class and size of the television.
The price of a ticket includes a certain amount of baggage transportation in the cargo hold of the aircraft. The baggage allowance varies depending on the booking class and destination. There are certain rules and restrictions for baggage, such as the maximum weight limit of 32 kg and the maximum sum of dimensions of 158 cm.

There are exceptions to liability for damage, loss, or destruction of baggage. Ethiopian Airlines is not liable for certain damages, such as defects in the baggage material, minor dents or scratches, damage due to over-packing, or damage from security inspections.
